Louis Vuitton, or LV to some, is one of the most prestigious and well known French luggage makers in the world since the 18th century. Louis Vuitton, for those who are not familiar, is indeed the full name of the French founder who started this amazing brand that went from a great luggage and garment packer to today’s luxury fashion, image, accessory maker in three centuries. Also thanks to LVMH group presidentBernard Arnault, as well as the New York 80′s grunge wonder boy fashion designerMarc Jacobs. Nominated as the artistic director of Vuitton since 1997, Jacobs pushed the house’s esthetics to another level.  Entitled “Louis Vuitton Marc Jacobs,” the exhibition tells the stories of two men who contributed to the success of this great house with their innovation. An analysis rather than a retrospective, this is definitely an exhibition that is worth seeing and be inspired, combining art and history, and even amazing pieces from the latest Vuitton runway show. Might this be the end of another era with the latest rumor about the departure of Jacobs for Dior?  We will let you be the judge of it. You have six months still to come and examine up close before the next fashion week for Spring/Summer 2013 around September 16th, 2012.Musée des Arts décoratifs
